The future of Intelligent Robotics
ThoughtForge AI was founded with a singular vision — to build a resilient AI platform that enables any robot, in any environment, to perform any task safely and efficiently with 100% accuracy. We call it Universal Robotic Intelligence.
Transform your entire robotic fleet. Empower new or existing robots with intelligence. Reduce risk. Standardize operational data. Optimize performance.
From the virtual testing environment to the autonomous intelligent robots and fleet monitoring, we help any business scale its value chain to get the most from its robotic fleets.

Meet the team

Matt Brown
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Matt Brown has spent more than 25 years building AI for real-world systems where compute is limited, latency is critical, and the environment is unpredictable. One of the few AI founders with roots in defense, he began his career working on AEGIS and drone programs at Lockheed Martin. He then spent a decade as technical lead on landmark game franchises Halo, Bioshock, and Splinter Cell, building real-time AI for limited compute budgets. In 2015, Matt joined Bonsai AI as the first engineer and technical lead, building the first production-grade Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) platform. Bonsai was acquired by Microsoft in 2018 to become the foundation of their Autonomous Systems Group. In 2020, Matt founded ThoughtForge to solve the hardest problem in robotics: real-time adaptation and dexterity. ThoughtForge commercializes more than a decade of Matt’s research exin Active Inference (AIF) into robotic control AI to enable industrial robots to adapt on the edge. He holds a BS in Computer Science from MIT and a Masters in Computer Science from UPenn. He is named inventor on 12 patents in Artificial Intelligence and serves on the Scientific Advisory Board for the Active Inference Institute.

Harneet Singh
Co-founder & Chief Product Strategy Officer
Harneet Singh has over 15 years of experience in Robotics and ML, with a background as an Associate Professor at Duke University, where his research contributed to the first Roomba and other real world robotic systems. He has led AI product innovation at Bell Labs, Microsoft, Intel AI, and Amazon, including scaling robotics in 55 Amazon distribution centers. Harneet led product with Matt Bonsai AI, which was later acquired by Microsoft. Harneet holds a BS and Masters in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M.

Whitney Sales
Co-founder & Chief Revenue Officer
Whitney has worked in the global innovation ecosystem for over two decades, bringing early-stage Enterprise B2B software and AI companies to market. Before ThoughtForge, Whitney was a founding Partner at Forum Ventures Seed Fund, where she invested in over 150 B2B SaaS and AI companies, including Bonsai Matt & Harneet’s previous company. Prior to investing, Whitney was a sales leader at four companies on the Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Companies list. She has served as advisor and mentor to many of the Bay Area’s fastest growing startups as well as prominent programs like Harvard Business School’s Entrepreneurial Sales course.
How we work
Measured deltas against instrumented baselines. An unmeasured claim is labelled a hypothesis.
Secure, air-gapped models that run on the edge.
Deterministic fallbacks always. When the next action is unclear, it holds and asks.
Every deployment is rigorously tested in our labs and yours, ensuring it meets high standards.
